BENIN: Photos of the voodoo pilgrimage.

Every year, on the 10th of January, the country celebrates the four divinities: air, fire, water and land.

Initiates from the four corners of the globe, from Europe, the United States and the West Indies meet in Ouidah, the place where the slaves went to the Americas during the slave trade. They celebrate voodoo religion, with dance, trances and ancestral rites.
