This Sunday, August 13, 2017 around 9 pm, a terrorist attack touched the restaurant Istanbul on Avenue Kwame N’KRUMAH in Ouagadougou. The Defense Forces and Security are in intervention.
The attack has left seventeen (17) victims whose nationalities remain to be specified and eight (08) injured taken care of by the emergency services of the Yalgado Ouédraogo hospital.
An investigation was immediately opened by the Prosecutor of Faso, near the Ouagadougou District Court.
The Government presents its condolences to the grieving families and prompt recovery to the wounded.
Pending further information, the Government invites the population to calm and respect the safety instructions.
