The Williams sisters qualified for the final Saturday in Melbourne. Fourteen years after the victory of Venus(older sister) on Serena in the 2003 edition, the Williams sisters will be playing against each other in the final of the Australian Open on Saturday.

Venus Williams beat his fellow american Coco Vandeweghe in three sets 6-7, 6-2, 6-1 in 50 minutes, Thursday, January 26 Melbourne. Serena Williams claimed a victory over Croatian Mirjana Lucic-Baroni in two sets 6-2, 6-1, in 50 minutes on the same day. She left no chance for her opponent, scoring almost twice as many points as she did(56 to 33). She joined her eldest, Venus in the final of the Australian Open.

“Being both back in the final is one of our biggest dreams,” said Serena, 35, of the Rod Laver Arena.

Serena Williams runs after a 23rd Grand Slam crown which would offer her a step above Steffi Graf to become the most titled player of the modern era.
