What is happening in Zimbabwe? This is the question we are entitled to dispense with the confusion that reigns at this moment in this country. After a very rough night, the army took control of the capital, Harare. And even though an army general, Sibusiso Moyo, said in a message read on national television that it is not a coup d’etat and that they only target “the criminals who surround The president, we must remain cautious.

This action of the army is taking place at a time when there is a conflict between President Mugabe and the head of the army. Crisis triggered by the dismissal of the country’s vice president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is a potential dauphin of the head of state.

General Sibusiso Moyo assures that “His Excellency the President and his family are safe and secure and their safety is guaranteed. He also announces in the same message read on TV that “as soon as our mission is accomplished, we expect the situation to return to normal.”
