Beyoncé the planetary star called for justice to be done for Georges Floyd who died during an arrest. It is on his Instagram page that the artist published a video of about fifty seconds on the night of Friday, May 29, 2020.

In a piano background, Beyoncé addresses its 147 million subscribers: “We need justice for George Floyd. We have all witnessed his murder in broad daylight. We are broken and sickened. I am not just talking to people of colour. Whether you’re white, black, mixed, or whatever, I’m sure you feel desperate for the racism that exists in America today. We can no longer look away. George is our family (…) because he is American. Too many times we have seen these violent murders, and no consequences. Yes, someone has been charged, but justice is far from being done”.

The 38-year-old star is not the only one to demand justice, Rihanna also spoke on her Instagram page: “In recent days, the extent of the devastation, the anger, the sadness that I felt was overwhelming to say the least! Watching my people being murdered and lynching day after day pushed me to a heavy place in my heart! To the point of staying away from worldliness, just to avoid hearing the bloody agony in George Floyd’s voice again, begging again and again for his life! The look of seduction, pure joy and climax on the face of this bigot, murderer, thug, pig, tramp, Derek Chauvin, haunts me! I can’t pass an ambulance that stops at an arrest, an ambulance that checks a pulse without removing the thing that bothers him! Is that completely normal? If intentional MURDER is the appropriate consequence for the drug or resistance to arrest… then what is the appropriate consequence”.
