The 6th edition of Calabashes of the Excellence of the Diaspora was held in Paris on 17 December 2016 for the first time in its history since its creation. Until now, it had taken place only in Dakar, in the Senegalese capital.
A ceremony attended by Rama Yade, and Consul Amadou Diallo.
The internationally renowned sculptor Ousmane Sow, who passed away on 1 December, was honored during the event where the Senegalese community living in Italy, Brussels or Switzerland made the trip.
