Yaya Koné

His name is Yaya Kone. This young man is passionate about open innovation and the digital strategy of companies. Graduate of a Master Business Administration in operational marketing, he is the co-founder of Coliba. It is a startup that puts technology at the service of recycling and recovery of plastic waste through a Web application, Mobile and SMS.

The initiators started from a statement: African cities are facing a serious environmental crisis that will certainly worsen with the evolution of the population. In Abidjan, for example, thousands of tons are piled up every year in the streets.

Coliba is reinventing the traditional garbage collection system, redistributing all the players in the value chain, sorting the garbage collected and making it available to recycling companies according to their needs. The goal is to “build an affordable garbage collection system while sensitizing people to the importance of recycling, sustainable development and social well-being that result from reducing pollution and diseases such as malaria. ”
