BEACH SOCCER – World Cup postponed to February 2024

Scheduled to take place in November of this year, the Beach Soccer World Cup will finally be played in February 2024. Fifa made it official on Friday, 23 June 2023. Senegal will attempt to reach the historic milestone of a Beach Soccer World Cup final in just over seven months.

Indeed, the next Beach Football World Cup, the twelfth edition, will take place from 15 to 25 February 2024, in the United Arab Emirates. That is what the Fifa Council announced on Friday. Initially from the 16th to the 26th of November, the competition was finally postponed, without any reasons being given by the World Football Authority.

Senegal, the sevenfold African champion, is the fourth in the last edition in Russia and expects a more historic participation in Dubai.

In addition to Senegal and the United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Oman and the United States have already secured their tickets for the tournament. These eleven nations will be joined by four European teams and a representative from the Continent of Oceania.
