France overthrew Mali (2-1) on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in the semi-finals of the Under-17 World Cup. Malian captain Ibrahim Diarra scored the Aiglonnets goal (1-0).
Souleymane Sanogo was kicked out early in the second period after a foul on Yvann Titi, allowing the latter to equalize on a free-kick (1-1). by Ismaël Bouneb scored the second goal for the Bleuets (2-1). France qualify for the final. The French will challenge Germany in the final on Saturday 2 December.
Mali will play in the small final to hope to take the bronze medal against Argentina.
