Senegal’s national men’s basketball team won against Uganda (93-55) on Wednesday 25 August 2021 in Kigali Arena, Rwanda. For their opening match, Boniface Ndong’s men dominated the Ugandans to a large extent and are provisionally first in Group D.

Senegal’s national basketball team won its first match against Uganda on Wednesday afternoon, 25 August. Against a team from Uganda that was in a bad state, the Senegalese did not tremble. The basketball lions showed their supremacy by dominating their opponents on all levels. Brancou Badio, best scorer, in the first period with 13 points. Senegal went to the half with 9 points (41-30).

Gorgui Sy Dieng was Senegal’s top scorer with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 1st assist. Oumar Brancou Badio performed very well against Uganda with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists.

For its second match of the tournament, Senegal will challenge the South Sudan team on Friday, August 27, at 7 pm.
