These elections, which will take place on 8 September, will define the policy of the Cheririfian kingdom. The campaign, which will end on Tuesday 7 September at midnight, is an opportunity for the political parties in the running to present and defend their programs in front of the voters in order to convince the maximum number of people.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, major political meetings should not be held and gatherings of more than 25 people are prohibited. Political parties have also announced the opening of their campaigns in meetings with a limited number of participants, broadcast on the networks. The Justice and Development Party (PJD, moderate Islamist) is betting to win the legislative elections for the third time since its arrival in business in 2011 without holding key ministries.
