Ablassé Ouédraogo
Half a dozen people have already been arrested after a police investigation. They are accused of “leaking false information, inciting an armed or unarmed assembly”. According to Libreinfo.net, the name Ablassé Ouédraogo was mentioned in a conversation between the people arrested. That is what the former minister would have told them.
The police also reportedly deprived him of his phone and laptop for the purposes of the investigation. After the hearing, the former minister was able to return home.
He visited Compaoré last March
Ablassé Ouédraogo is a close friend of former president Blaise Compaoré. Last March, he visited him at his residence in Abidjan. This trip allowed the former minister to inquire about the health of his former boss.
The man had earlier sent an open letter to Captain Traoré to request the return of the ex-leader to the country. He asked him to allow Compaoré to go to Ouagadougou to «end his old age».
