French football star Kylian Mbappé called for justice for Georges Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American, who was killed in a brawling arrest in Minneapolis by four police officers.
The French attacker posted on his social networks a committed message but also a photo with a caption:” Police with us, not against us!”. Through a video on his Instagram story, the champion also sent a message: “For once, don’t do it. Don’t pretend there’s no problem in America. Don’t turn your back on racism. Do not accept that innocent lives are taken from us. (…) Do not think that you cannot participate in change. Let’s all be part of the change.”
As a reminder, for a story of fraud Georges Floyd was arrested, suffocated in the knee before dying a few minutes later. A tragedy that shook the whole of America. Thousands of people went out to different cities of the country to seek justice. Kilian Mbappé also took up the hashtag “Justiceforgeorge” (“Justice for George), with two emojis fisted and raised.
