The founding president of the Institut de Recherche en Santé, de Surveillance Epidemiologque et de Formation (IRESSEF) has been elected Senegal’s best academic in microbiology by the scientific journal Research.

Professor Souleymane Mboup from the Institut de Recherche en Santé, de Surveillance Epidemiologque et de Formation (IRESSEF) is highlighted as the best academic microbiologist in Senegal with a D-index of 68.

According to the scientific journal, as far as institutions are concerned, affiliation with the largest number of leading researchers in Senegal is the Institut de Recherche en Santé, Epidemiological Surveillance and Training with an affiliated researcher listed in the Microbiology classification.
Research reports that the average D index for the top 5% of researchers is 68 compared to an average of 68 for the top 5% of researchers.

The average number of articles published in the field of microbiology for the top 3% of researchers in the ranking is 299 compared to an average of 299 for all researchers.
The average number of citations for the top 5% of researchers is 15,712 versus an average of 15,712 for all scientists.
