A surprising decision coming from one of the first companions of the President of the Republic Macky Sall since the years of embers that preceded the democratic takeover of power by the alliance for the republic has fallen. After ten years of companionship with Macky Sall, his now former special advisor in charge of youth and sports gives back the apron. The former Senegalese international also announced his resignation from the Alliance for the Republic in a post on his Facebook page.
“I would like to inform the Senegalese that effective today, 21 February 2023, I have resigned from the Cabinet of His Excellency, Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal, in my capacity as Special Advisor on Youth and Sport, and the Alliance for the Republic (APR), as an activist since 2008,” he said.
For the time being, the resigner states that he made this decision for personal convenience. In his post, Ndongo Ndiaye thanks the Head of State, Macky Sall, President of the APR, and expresses his gratitude for the trust and support he has given him over the years.
