NBA star Michael Jordan decided to donate $100 million to organizations working against racial discrimination.
This is unprecedented! This is the first time that a sports personality has offered such a large sum to a non-profit charity. This decision of Michael Jordan comes after the death of Georges Floyd 46 years killed during a police arrest in Minneapolis.
“Black Lives Matter. This is not a contentious statement. Until this entrenched racism that is bankrupting our country’s institutions is completely eradicated, we will continue to commit to protecting and improving the lives of black people,” said the champion on his tweet.
Black lives matter. This isn’t a controversial statement. We are you. We are a family. We are a community. pic.twitter.com/cGH8bJl1GQ
