IVORY COAST: PDCI launches a call for applications for the 2020 presidential elections

The Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire, the PDCI, which is a former ally of the government, decided Friday, June 5, 2020 to launch a call for candidates. Objective: To choose his candidate who must stand for the presidential election of 31 October 2020 but also to set the eligibility criteria for the outcome of an extraordinary political office in Abidjan the capital.

354 votes out of 372, that is how the criteria for candidacy were adopted, or 95.7% of the votes cast. Local party conventions are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 26, 2020.
