hef of the Transitional Government evoked cases of mistreatment suffered by ECOWAS nationals taken, according to him, as scapegoats in internal crises (referring to Senegal).

“It is disappointing to note that despite the Pan-African vision of President Mamadi Doumbouya, which was expressed as early as September 5, 2021, by the reopening of Guinean borders that had been closed for many months (at the time), other countries are working hard to bully and mistreat ECOWAS nationals by taking them as scapegoats in internal crises,” said Dr. Bernard Goumou this Saturday, June 17, 2023, as he presided over the inauguration of a regional road.
Senegal was the scene of violence at the beginning of June, killing about ten people. Following this violence, several Guineans were expelled from Senegalese territory. Will Conakry apply reciprocity? Dr Bernard Goumou said, “The Republic of Guinea will maintain its pan-Africanism policy,” he said.

And to add in a firm tone: The Republic of Guinea demands that the authorities of these countries put an end to this populist mistreatment of so-called foreign communities and very quickly engage in a fraternal dialogue to find appropriate solutions with the neighbors as befits these types of situations», hammered the head of the Transitional Government.
