Tunisian attacker Taha Yassine Khenissi, is away from the football fields for a period of one year. The Disciplinary Jury of the African Football Confederation decided this Wednesday, June 2, 2021 to surprise the player of the Hope of Tunis after a positive doping control. The facts for which the 29-year-old is sanctioned date back to May 10, 2021, during the match of the 6th day of the CAF Champions League between MC Algiers and Espérance de Tunis (1 – 1).

Number 11 of the Hope of Tunis, Taha Yassine Khenissi, is suspended for a period of 12 months. For having been tested positive for a substance whose use is totally prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the Tunisian footballer is forced to spend a white season. The CAF suspended Taha Yassine Khenissi de l’Espérance de Tunis for a period of twelve months (one year) from the provisional suspension date of 19 May 2021 for violation of anti-doping rules,” the CAF said in a statement.
