The Senegalese Twittosphere has been buzzing for a few hours. The Hashtag #JusticePourLouise was launched to demand that the case of journalist Sheikh Yerim Seck’s son be brought to justice. He accused him of raping a 15-year-old girl by filming him, before broadcasting the video on the internet.

Souleymane Sidy Seck, since he is the one he is talking about, would have invited Louise to her home for revisions. That’s where things got out of hand. If the parents and their daughter claim that the sexual act had been under threat, the young high school student Seck asserts that it was a consensual relationship.
A complaint followed and the investigation closed since June 22 by the police of Mbour which then forwarded the file to the prosecutor. But since then, no follow-up has been given to this case, which now occupies the centre of news. Especially since the video would circulate in private couriers,

They are all calling for a judicial follow-up to this case, which is likely to awaken very bad memories in the Seck family.This is because of the father’s history, who was sentenced to three years in prison for rape in September 2012.
