“Usually, in a concert, I am very rarely far from backstage because of my job as a Producer, Cultural Promoter, Partner and Director of Information Site Publishing, but for this concert, I had the privilege of watching Tiken Jah Fakoly in the audience and being able to enjoy it like everyone else.
An artist who stands beside the people, who defends the people, who fights alongside the people and who speaks without a wooden tongue to his African leaders who want to stay in power forever. “Africa is one of the richest continents but one of the poorest populations. Is that normal???” Dixit Tiken Jah Fakoly. I spent a beautiful evening with an artist of immense talent, an artist fundamentally courageous, pan-African, an artist with an exceptional stage presence, a real beast of stage. I very much appreciated the artist and the man, his commitment to the African people shows easily that he has clean hands.
In my opinion, his courage and honesty are well established. He’s not a food artist, he’s not an artist plotting with a government. It is not sold and it is not one of its artists who is received overnight in the palace to bribe them. The people have made him what he is today an artist of an international dimension, the people buy his records, the people admire him, the people come to his concerts but when the people need him, he is there and just for all that, I respect him enormously.
