Teddy Riner, the king of the tatami, struck for the 2017 final in the final of the more than 100 kg of the World Championships in Budapest, the Hungarian capital on Saturday 2 September.

This ninth victory is inscribed as a first consecration for this colossal native of Guadeloupe. The heavyweight has definitely entered the history of judo with this new trophy.

The start of the competition was not so easy for the champion. Some difficulties were noted against his opponents. However, after beating Georgian Guram Tushishvili, he won the duel by dominating the Brazilian David Moura.

After spending more than a year without fighting, Teddy Riner has demonstrated that he remains the absolute master of the over 100kg category.
