Spain joins the Euro 2020 semifinals by defeating Switzerland on goal (3 – 1) on Friday 2 July 2021 in Saint Petersburg. The match was tight until the end. The men of Luis Enrique will be at the rendezvous of the last square while waiting for the winner of the match between Belgium and Italy at 7pm at the Allianz Arena. The score will not change despite the numerous opportunities of the Roja and the red card received by the Swiss midfielder Remo Freuler for a slippery tackle not mastered in the 77th minute.
It was on goal shots that Spain took the lead thanks to its goalkeeper, Unai Simón, who stopped 3 Swiss penalties (3 – 1). Spain is the first team qualified in the semi-final while waiting to know the winner in the big clash between Italy and Belgium at the Allianz Arena.
