SENEGAL: Aliou Sall still in bad shape.

After being the target of a BBC investigation into the “$ 10 billion scandal”, Aliou Sall, managing director of the Caisse de Depot et de Consignation (CDC), was ordered to pay FCFA 10 million. to the company Ciments du Sahel.

Judged Monday, June 17, 2019 by the Commercial Court, the Caisse Depot and Consignment led by Aliou Sall must pay 10 million FCFA to the company Ciments du Sahel, in addition to 3 million FCFA in damages. In his order yesterday, Judge Alioune Ndiaye considers that the CDC is debtor causes of the seizure.

A conviction that comes as Aliou Sall is wet in a corruption case related to oil and gas contracts in Senegal.

However, this is a decision in the first instance because the CDC can still appeal.
