SENEGAL – Merger between Pastef and 14 parties and movements

The merger ceremony of Pastef-Les patriotes, led by Ousmane Sonko, and 14 parties and movements took place this Friday, August 13, 2021. A meeting during which the main opponent of the regime of the President of the Republic Macky Sall announced a grand coalition of the Senegalese opposition in view of the local elections. Ousmane Sonko came in traditional African dress to express his belonging to the continent as a whole. The politician also said that the Pastef spreads its tentacles and now becomes “African Patriots of Senegal for Work, Ethics and Fraternity”.

Ousmane Sonko struck again strong on the occasion of the ceremony of fusion between pastef and 14 parties and citizen movements this Friday, August 13 in Dakar the Senegalese capital. Dressed in a traditional boubou, with a reassuring smile, the leader of Pastef announced that the opposition is preparing a grand coalition to move towards the local elections scheduled for January 2022. “In the next few hours, we will present the Senegalese with a very large opposition coalition. I believe it is this one that will complete what is left of this regime,” said the third-place candidate in the 2019 presidential election.

Ousmane Sonko reached out to the other parties or movements to put an end to the current regime. For him, the fight must be fought together so that the ruling party feels that the people have definitely turned their back on him. We tell the Senegalese that Pastef is a party open to all. The coalition will facilitate field work, communication and massification. That’s just politics.” , added the member and opponent.

The radical opponent of the current regime, who claims to enlighten consciences especially that of youth, took the opportunity to announce that Pastef will now go from Patriotes du Senegal to Patriotes Africains du Sénégal pour le Travail, l’Ethique et la Fraternité.
