SENEGAL: The third man of the Socialist Party, Ousmane Tanor Dieng bowed out.

Senegal in mourning, Ousmane Tanor Dieng President of the HCCT gave up this morning in Bordeaux. Ousmane Tanor Dieng has, until then, ensured the legacy of his political formation that led Senegal from 1960 to 2000.

With the advent of the first alternation in 2000, he became a direct opponent of the then regime with the head of power the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS) led Master Abdoulaye Wade. Thus, he held the post of National Secretary General of the Socialist Party until his death on Monday, July 15, 2019.

Today, this sudden and unexpected loss of one of the icons of the Senegalese political scene, a figure however controversial, President Macky Sall has just separated under the death of death one of its most sincere allies.
