For more than a week, coronavirus contamination (Covid-19) has been on the rise in Algeria, reaching a daily record this Wednesday. By Algeria 360

On the front line of the Covid-19, health care workers were strongly affected by the increase in contamination.

Indeed, the member of the Scientific Committee responsible for monitoring the evolution of the epidemic, Pr Abdelkrim Soukehal, revealed that 1700 health professionals, all bodies combined, were infected with Covid-19 in Algeria.

“At the beginning of the epidemic, we went to the unarmed and unarmed war, which was very complicated,” added Prof. Soukhal, stressing that the epidemic is currently “growing and is going too fast,” in Algeria as elsewhere.

Recall that the Minister of Health Abderrahmane Benbouzid, revealed last Saturday that the coronavirus had caused the death of 26 people in the medical corps and impacted more than 1500 others.
