Morocco’s national team of Beach soccer won the African Beach Games in Tunisia on Friday, July 30, 2023. The Atlas Lions, coached by former Senegalese coach Ngalla Sylla, beat Senegal.
They caught the Senegalese (3-3) after regulation time and (4-3) shots on goal.
It’s a big hit for Senegal during the group phase of the second edition of the African Games. The Lions had a third win in as many outings.
As a reminder, after Kenya and Tanzania, Senegal beat Libya. Senegal ousted him in his last pool game (11-5).
In this match, there were several doubles including goaltender and captain Al Seyni Ndiaye, Jean Ninou Diatta, Mandione Laye and goals from Raoul Mendy, Seydina Issa and goaltender Ousseynou.
Since the start of the tournament, Libya has scored the most goals against Senegal. Senegal will play in the final.
