Samuel Eto’O nominated in the category of right forwards for a probable integration in the legend eleven of the «Ballon d’Or Dream Team» of the weekly France Football, the international Cameroonian has not appreciated this nomination in this category.

This Monday, October 19, 200, the weekly France Football unveiled the list of forwards to constitute the legendary eleven of the «Ballon d’or Dream Team». 30 players have been selected, however only 3 will be able to be in this team lined up in 3-4-3. The international, the legendary star of the round ball of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, who is one of the most talented players of his generation, spoke on his twitter page following the distribution of this list. “Thank you, but I played 1.2 seasons on the right, yet I have a 25-year career as before centre. Disrespect. France Football NO MATTER WHAT!” he said.

The artist, producer, Cameroonian photographer, BJL aka Black Jack Le Groove also reacted with a video published on his facebook page following the reaction of Samuel Eto’O. Here are some excerpts: “It was this France Football office that prevented Samuel Eto’O from getting his gold ball when the whole world voted for him. Samuel Eto’O just threw a justified punch. We must not forget that he is a genius and that he brought joy, emotion to the whole world thanks to his art. France football has positioned it in a category that is not his. Let’s say when African music wins, there are Makossa or Afro beat categories, we just rank PSquare or Yémi Aladé in the Makossa category. You can’t put someone who does Afro beat in the makossa category, let’s be serious. Samuel Eto’o, his golden balloon has been stolen, no one can say otherwise. They refuse to give him the Ballon d’or and a few years later, they come to place him in the category of the right strikers, it’s an insult so his mouth is justified.”

As a reminder, the “Ballon d’or Dream Team” is the best eleven in football history according to the Ballon d’or jurors. France Football is a French football magazine, which was created in 1946.
