French President Emmanuel Macron is on an official visit this Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in Burkina Faso. He went to the University of Ouagadougou with his Burkina counterpart Christian Kaboré for a conference in front of nearly 600 students.
For nearly three hours, the French head of state addressed “the African youth.” He addressed issues related to terrorism, climate change, demographics, urbanization or democracy. He also answered the various questions of the students.
However, outside the university where the conference was being held, demonstrators chanted “Down with imperialism”. Tires were burned. Protesters were later dispersed by police with tear gas bombs. We offer you the video of his intervention:
