Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba on Thursday opened the Loubomo-Mougagara road on the Tchibanga-Mayumba road in the province.
He was accompanied by Prime Minister Emmanuel Issoze-Ngonde and members of the government, as well as the Minister of Infrastructure, Public Works and Regional Development, Jean-Pierre Oyiba and the Minister of Petroleum and Hydrocarbons.
This new road will be 53 kilometers long. This road project is part of the vision of the Gabonese president to develop the national road network. 49 economic operators were mobilized. This allowed the creation of 500 direct and 240 indirect jobs.
With this new facility, a 280% increase in national traffic was noted, greatly reducing the cost of transportation.
This road has cost 32.8 billion CFA francs or 50 million euros.
