GUINEA – Freedom Award 2023: Hadja Idrissa Bah wins the 5th edition

Guinean activist Hadja Idrissa of the Girls Leaders Club of Guinea Bah, has won the 5th edition of the Freedom Award. The announcement was made this Wednesday 26 April, on the Prix liberté website.

The Freedom Award is a youth initiative that aims to reward, each year, a person or organization who is active or engaged in combat in favor of freedom.

However, this year, after 400 entries, three finalists were selected, among which the Girls Leaders Club of Guinea headed by Hadja Idrissa Bah. The young Guinean lady advocates for the rights of women and children in the country since 2016. Among the other three ECPAT International (Bangkok) and Txai Surui (Brazil).

In the end, the Guinean Hadja Idrissa Bah was awarded the Prize 2023 of 76 participating countries.

As a reminder, the Prix liberté invites young people aged 15 to 25 in France and in the to designate, each year, a person or organization
committed to an exemplary fight for freedom.
