The case for which Dj Arafat, aka Yorobo was sentenced to one year in prison, dates back to the beginning of 2018. He had stripped and beat one of his dancers, Hervé Naï, on the grounds that he had smoked drugs under his roof.
DJ Arafat was sentenced Friday, May 25 to 12 months in prison with a fine of 20 million CFA francs in damages by the court of Abidjan-Plateau. Houon Ange Didier, at the civil status, will also face an arrest warrant with “immediate effect”, a binding provision to bring the artist to serve his sentence.
Note that Dj Arafat is currently in Europe for a tour.
