EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW OF DAARA J FAMILY from Paris

On Sunday, June 13, 2021, the Ze-Africanews team met the Daara J Family at the Place à Châtelet les Halles in Paris. It was as part of the AFRICA2020 season, an unprecedented concert was performed by the two acolytes who set the audience on fire. Ndongo D and Faada Freddy thus dedicated a special moment of exchange where they came back on their meeting; their debut; the Ahmed Sy Malick High School; the Mame Thierno Biram Mbacké High School; their friend Biba, who is a fan of dance; who makes the path of the two friends cross; the Lycée Delafosse in Dakar with the first performances; the first prize, the “Foureuls”; the “FOSCO”, the discotheque in particular the Métropolis; the appearance of Michel Soudana of “Décli Communication”, their dazzling international career; their different productions such as “Boomerang”; “Exodus”; “School of Life”;“Yayi Yoon”; “Yaamatele”; “It drives you crazy” or “Jamono”.

The interview took place in two stages, the first part of which we called “DAARA J FAMILY MUSIC – PART ONE”. In this part, the internationally renowned group looks back on the formation of their band and their rise in their musical career which has attracted thousands of people around the world.

The second part is called “DAARA J FAMILY ENGAGEMENT AND AFRICAN POLITICS – PART TWO”. In this part, the mythical group revisits its commitment; its philosophy of life;its idea; their African vision of development;democracy; bad governance; its mentor like Thomas Sankara; Nkrumah; Cheikh Anta Diop among other pan-African leaders.
