PREMIER LEAGUE – Haaland and Manchester City etrillent Fulham, Chelsea lose again, Tottenham crushes Burnley
Erling Haaland and City continue to win (5-1) while Tottenham impresses (5-2) and Chelsea disappoints again (0-1). Following the 4th day of Premier League this Saturday afternoon with several beautiful games on the lawns of England. Manchester City received Fulham to continue his flawless Championship. For this, Pep Guardiola (still absent from the bench for health concerns), relied on the last rookie Jérémy Doku as a starter. The opportunity for him to score points against a Fulham team that started without Palhinha after his aborted transfer to Bayern Munich in the last moments.
The start of the match was in the favor of the Cityzens who, as in the first days, could not achieve their domination by goals. We had to wait for a good service from Erling Haaland for Julian Alvarez to open the score at the half-hour mark (31′). But the Cottagers equalised right away thanks to Ream (33′). Finally, the match tipped just before halftime with the goal of Nathan Aké (45th+5). After the break, the inevitable Erling Haaland punished the opponent three times, scoring his 40th, 41st and 43rd goals in the Premier League since his debut (in 39 matches please). Manchester City thus won widely (5-1) and remained in the lead with 4 victories in as many matches.
Heung-min Her treat, Chelsea disappoints
As runner-up of the Skyblues, we now find Tottenham. The formation of Ange Postecoglou totally crushed the promoted Burnley who had nevertheless opened the score. But the Spurs steamroller made Vincent Kompany’s men give up. In the absence of Harry Kane going to Bayern Munich, it is Heung-min Son who regales. The South Korean earned a hat-trick in the game as Romero and Maddisson found the net (5-2).
Finally, in the other games, Chelsea was again disappointing at home by losing to Nottingham Forest. Sweden’s Elanga scored the only goal of the match. The teammates of Malo Gusto and Axel Disasi could not make the difference in this match (0-1) with a weak offensive animation. Only two forwards were starting at kick-off: Sterling and Jackson. Brentford drew Bournemouth (2-2) in the extra time.

FAILURE OF THE ELECTION OF THE FEGUIFOOT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE – Guinea risks missing CAN 2023
The election of the members of the executive committee of the Guinean Football Federation, convened by the Standardization Committee on November 26, 2023, did not take place due to a lack of quorum. This election was therefore postponed to a later date.
The FIFA envoy invites Guinean football players to put aside their disagreements and make compromises for the happiness of football lovers. “Let’s put the egos aside, think about Guinean football, think about the journalists who live off it. Let’s compromise and move forward,” said Gelson Fernandes.
According to the FIFA Special Envoy, it is up to Guinea to deal with this problem. “Guinea is master of its own destiny. We will give our position. Guinea chooses which federation it wants to be in. The ball is in Guinea’s court. If she wants to move forward we will help her, but the ball is not in the CAF’s or FIFA’s court,” he suggested.
Referring to the failure to elect the members of the Executive Committee, Gelson Fernandes acknowledged that this is a serious situation and said he regretted the consequences it could have on the Syli as the CAN approaches which will take place in January-February 2024 in Côte d’Ivoire.
Finally, he invited Guinean football players to put their ego aside to allow Guineans to continue to live their passion to the full.
The term of the current Standards Committee is set for 30 November 2023. Guinean football is waiting.
