IP by its real name Dominique Preira is a Senegalese rapper born in 1991. DIP is an abbreviation of his first name Dominique but also alludes to the English word DEEP «profond», in reference to his texts which although very anchored in the street still have this philosophical side that opens a window on his vision of life.
From an early age, DIP began to take an interest in music, particularly rap, drawing inspiration from local references such as Positive Black Soul, Daara J but also international as DMX, T.I etc.
In 2009 he started writing his own texts and doing freestyles. But it was in 2011 that he chose to pursue a career in rap and founded the group Doundou Guiss (Vivre pour Apprendre) with his friend Sawzi the same year. However, after a few months Sawzi decided to stop rap, which prompted DIP to follow a solo career.
In 2012 he joined the label REP’TYLE MUSIC where he released his first single «Hors Norme» followed by «Yakarouma Ci Ken» which quickly created a buzz on social networks and radios, which allowed him to make himself known to the general public.Today he is the most popular Senegalese rapper. He recorded the best views on Youtube (+11,041,857 views), recorded a record number of sales with the release of his first TLK album more than 7,000 copies in one week. He is also the most followed rapper in Senegal on Instagram (+ 308,000 followers).
