This Thursday, July 25, 2019, disappears President Beji Caid Essebsi. The first democratically elected president. A turning point in the socio-political history of the country. Tunisia was reborn on December 22, 2014 when it came to power, chosen by the Tunisian people.
Today, its sudden disappearance led to a rebalancing of the electoral calendar. The presidential elections originally scheduled for November 17, 2019 will be held on September 15, according to the National Electoral Commission.
To prevent a possible disruption of the electoral calendar provided for by the Constitution, the said commission undertakes to respect the holding of the poll on the due date. Tunisia, pioneer of the Arab Spring, will face once again its political destiny. Nearly 7 million voters are already registered according to the Independent Higher Authority for Elections in Tunisia (ISIE)

Ce jeudi 25 juillet 2019, disparaît le président Béji Caïd Essebsi. Le premier président démocratiquement élu. Un tournant dans l’histoire socio-politique du pays. La Tunisie renaissait ce 22 décembre 2014 date à laquelle il arrivait au pouvoir, choisi par le peuple tunisien.
Aujourd’hui sa disparition soudaine a entraîné un rééquilibrage du calendrier électoral. Les élections présidentielles initialement prévues le 17 novembre 2019 aura lieu le 15 septembre, selon la commission électorale nationale.
Pour parer à une éventuelle perturbation du calendrier électoral prévu par la Constitution, ladite commission s’engage à respecter la tenue du scrutin à la date échue. La Tunisie, pionnier du Printemps arabe, va faire face encore une fois à son destin politique. Près de 7 millions d’électeurs sont déjà inscrits selon l’Instance Supérieure Indépendante pour les Élections en Tunisie (ISIE)
