The weekly France Football has unveiled this Monday, October 21, 2019 the list of 30 players nominated for the title of 2019 gold ball. In this list of the best players in the world, there are 5 Africans.
Senegalese Sadio Mané and Kalidou Koulibaly, Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Algerian Ryad Mahrez and Gabonese Pierre Emerick Aubameyang are the five African players among the 30 nominees for the 2019 gold ball.
The criteria by which the gold ball is awarded are 3: individual performance, player’s class (talent and fair play) and his career.
The winner of the trophy last year, Lucas Modric is not part of this list of nominees.
