Ivory Coast midfielder Cheick Tioté died following a heart attack during his training session on Monday (June 5th) in China. He was 30 years old.

Cheick Tioté arrived this summer at Beijing’s second-division club after spending seven years with Newcastle in England as midfielder in 2010. He played in the Netherlands in Twente and Roda, ‘In Anderlecht, Belgium.
He had 37 selections with the Côte d’Ivoire Elephants and was the winner of the African Cup of Nations in 2015.
