Announced several times at Real Madrid this summer, Kylian Mbappé could not finally see his dream come true. The fault to the leaders of the Parisian club, according to him, because he did not wait for the end of August and the last days of the mercato to to announce his starting wishes.
“I asked to leave, because once I didn’t want to extend, I wanted the club to have a transfer allowance to have a quality replacement,” he says.
“It’s a club that has brought me a lot, I’ve always been happy, the four years I’ve been here, and I still am. I announced it early enough for the club to turn around. I wanted everyone to come out bigger, to go out hand in hand, to make a good deal, and I respected that. I said, if you don’t want me to leave, I’ll stay.”
“People said I turned down six or seven extensions, that I don’t want to talk to Leonardo anymore, that’s absolutely not true. I was told ‘Kylian now you’re talking to the president’ I said at the end of July I wanted to leave,” Mbappé said.
