The President of the Republic, HE Mr. Issoufou Mahamadou, received in audience on Friday, August 11, 2017, participants in the 3rd International Youth Forum on Peace, Security and Irregular Immigration.
For two days, these participants, young people and experts from several African countries, worked on UN Security Council Resolution 2250 (2015).
At the end of the audience, the spokesperson of the participants told the press that the African youth came to pay tribute to the Head of State for his efforts for peace and security on the continent but also to regulate The issue of immigration.
“We presented him with the recommendations from this third forum and we also asked him to be our spokesman for the other Heads of State and the next United Nations General Assembly,” he said.
“We came out very comforted by the commitment of the President of the Republic to accompany the African youth including the Pan-African Youth Union of which he is one of the sponsors and whose next session will be held next month in Niamey,” he adds.
