SENEGAL: Demonstrations for the liberation of Sonko: Lions of Teranga on the people’s side

The crampon on the lawn, the Senegalese footballers enter the dance, they declare to support the Senegalese people in the demonstrations, demonstrations that broke out following the arrest of Pastef leader Ousmane Sonko while he was on his way to court to respond to his summons.

Senegalese national and international footballers such as Sadio Mané, Kalidou Koulibaly, Idrissa Gana Guèye, Edouard Mendy, Keïta Baldé Diao, Kara Mbodj, Pape Modou Sougou and even the Spaniard of Marseille, Alvaro Gonzalez, reacted to the chaotic situation in Senegal marked by demonstrations for the release of Ousmane Sonko.

The Lions of Teranga have all expressed their support for the Senegalese people. «With all your heart». They were also outraged by what is happening in Senegal before calling for peace and cohesion.  “A pious thought for my people whose cohesion and social peace have always been sung everywhere. May peace return to our hearts!” said International Sadio Mané on the pages of his social networks.
