The former mayor of the city of Dakar, Khalifa Sall, visited this Monday 6 January 2020 in the members of the National Resistance Front, the FRN, which brings together a good part of the opposition. He had already had an interview with the leader of Pastef the Patriots, Ousmane Sonko, and with the former President of the Republic, Abdoulaye Wade in late December 2019.
Khalifa Sall decided to tour the people who supported him during the two and a half years of his detention. He had already met former president Abdoulaye Wade at the end of December 2019 at Point E.
This Friday, January 3, 2020, he went to see Ousmane Sonko, the leader of Pastef with whom he talked at length about the situation in the country. Some see it as a desire to seek an alliance for the next legislative elections scheduled for 2022, and local whose date is not yet known.
