Only a few days to know the name of the person who will represent the Benno Bokk Yaakaar coalition at the 2024 Presidential Election in Senegal. Senegalese President Macky Sall intends to put an end to this vagueness that has lasted since the announcement of his non-application.
Despite everything, heads are emerging and for many, Macky Sall will choose between his Prime Minister Amadou Ba, the President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (EESC) Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo, his Minister of Agriculture Aly Ngouille Ndiaye, or former Prime Minister Boun Abdallah Dionne.

However, Marwane does not exclude Boun Abdallah Dionne. “Certainly in the head of the Head of State, he cannot fail to think of Boun Abdallah Dionne who accompanied him for a very long time, who was his chief of staff, who was his Prime Minister, the one who remained in office for more than five years, who was its secretary general for the presidency, etc.”, he continues.
In any case, the guest of RFM said he had “trouble imagining that we leave this list”. What is certain, he continued, “is that the president intends to have the candidate come from the APR and not from Benno Bokk Yaakaar”.
