The F-24 sets its conditions for responding to the national dialogue launched by Senegalese President Macky Sall. Following the President’s call for national dialogue, the opposition responded with conditions. Indeed, the F-14 movement of Senegalese forces, bringing together members of the opposition and civil society, requires, among other things, the declaration of non-application by the President of the Republic to the 2024 presidential election, inclusive elections and the release of political prisoners. The F-24 intends to participate in the dialogue, “if and only if the Head of State complies with these conditions on the table”.

Indeed, President Macky Sall, speaking at the end of the Eid al fitr prayer at the Grand Mosque in Dakar in the presence of members of the government, religious and customary authorities, among others, reiterated his call for dialogue and consultation with the opposition.

“The Ramadan that has just ended was a moment of vivification in the quest for our faith, but also a moment of humility and solidarity with those who live in need,” said the Head of State, for whom, “this quest for spiritual upliftment goes hand in hand with the encounter of neighbour through the culture of the values of peace and tolerance”.

In addition, the Head of State expressed his compassion to Muslims around the world who are going through difficult situations. He cited Palestine and Sudan.
