The journalist, director of Dakarmatin’s publication, Pape Alé Niang, was placed under arrest on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, after his face to face with judge Mamadou Seck. He was recently released from prison for only a few days. Pape Alé Niang was arrested at his home last night by elements of the Criminal Investigation Division (Dic).
The investigating judge of the Second Cabinet, Mamadou Seck, issued a warrant to Commissioner Adramé Sarr, head of Dic, to bring against the investigative journalist.
A new charge allegedly linked to his posts on social networks, targeting the director of the National Police and which would be suppressed since yesterday.
