The activist Guy Marius Sagna spoke this Sunday, April 18, 2021 on the facebook page. “We still demand the release of the political prisoners still detained in Dakar, Diourbel and Ziguinchor”. “Until we have peace, President Macky Sall and those who turn the lives of our fellow citizens into tragedy must not have peace. The fight will continue.” have statements that have been extracted in his text which you can read in full below:

“103 years ago today was condemned Cheikhou Cissé, a Senegalese rifleman. Repatriated after the First World War, he wanted to see his family in Mali (at the time Sudan). The colonial military authorities forced him to stay in Dakar. He refused. He is arrested for “conspiracy against state security” and “excitation to civil war”. He was sentenced on April 18, 1918 to be deported for life to New Caledonia where he died. May the soul of our worthy predecessor Sheikhou Cissé rest in peace.
Do you not feel that President Macky Sall has taken the charges against Sheikh Cissé and used them against the political detainees arrested in February and March?

President Macky Sall did not only eat the “desserts” of his French imperialist masters. He also copied everything from France. Even colonial accusations. Senegal in its penal code – and not only – is only a parrot and ready to repeat its French model.
We still demand the release of the political prisoners still detained in Dakar, Diourbel and Ziguinchor.

À voir aussi  CAMEROON: National dialogue has been launched.

In the middle of Ramadan, in the middle of heat, our fellow citizens of Koumpentoum, of Bakel…have no water. We had warned that Suez, the French company to which Macky gave our water is an almost rogue company. Alongside our compatriots organized in the Union for the Rural World (Uma) we have been shouting for a long time: “Aquatech degage!” “FlexEau dégagé!”

The peasants were dispossessed of their drilling to give them to the private who are not models of management.
In Senegal, it is those who are not elected by the people who lead: the imperialists – France mainly – the multinationals, the IMF and the World Bank…

There were the electricity riots. February and March 2021 were also hunger riots. We are going to thirst riots.
While the people are thirsty, hungry, arbitrarily dismissed, their lands stolen, their seas sold, the politicians of President Macky Sall use the billions of people to organize meetings.
It’s bleeding for the people.
It’s good for the “servants” of the people.
This can’t go on!
Let all the victims of President Macky Sall’s disastrous policy organize, join hands, mobilize. Too much!
Until we have peace, President Macky Sall and those who turn the lives of our fellow citizens into tragedy must not have peace. The struggle will continue.
Don’t agonize!
Organizes!
