DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was born on 18 December 1970 in Mount Vernon, New York. He had a difficult childhood. Indeed, his life has not been completely rosy, especially since he is known for his numerous arrests by the American justice system. In November 2017, for example, he was sentenced to one year in prison for voluntarily refusing to pay 1.7 billion taxes. But long before this year behind bars, he was charged with drug possession, animal cruelty or dangerous driving. In the same way, he was prosecuted for non-payment of support payments, or even more serious for usurpation of office for impersonating a federal agent.
