It is now official, former Chadian President Hissène Habré returns to prison this Sunday, June 7, 2020. It was on Iradio that the Seal Guard Malick Sall announced it.

Former President Hissène Habré had 60 days away, which expired on Saturday, June 6. He will have to go back to prison tomorrow, as indicated,” Malick Sall announced on Iradio’s airwaves.

Hissène Habré was sentenced to life imprisonment for “crimes against humanity, war crimes and torture” including acts of violence against his people when he was in charge. He will join his cell at the Cap Manuel prison. He is also sentenced to pay a fine of 82 billion FCFA to 7,396 identified victims.
