The final of the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations was played on Friday 19 July 2019 at the International Stadium in Cairo at 19h. Senegal, which was looking for its first star, lost to the Fennecs of Algeria on the smallest mark, 1-0.
Senegal is surprised from the 3rd minute of the match. 6 minutes later, Mbaye Niang, served by Lamine Gassama, avoids the release of Rais M’bolhi but does not catch the frame. In the 68th minute, Youssouf Sabaly sees his shot from a clapper by Algerian goalkeeper Rais M’Bolhi.
In the 83rd minute, 10 meters away from the goal, Ismaïla Sarr sees her volley fly well over the crossbar.
